Project: Centralized Registration Portal
Paradigm Shift – ISO/ESO Registration
Overview:
The economy overall has taken a downturn. The ATM industry is consolidating with extreme margin compression. All parties in the ATM industry value-chain seek avenues to control costs and increase business efficiency in an effort to preserve margin.
The ATMIA has an extensive membership base – all of which are impacted by the items mentioned above. So how can the ATMIA provide value to their members such that it assists members in achieving their financial targets sooner rather than later while simultaneously supporting the goals and objectives of the ATMIA?
One way to achieve both the ATMIA and its membership goals is by providing a centralized (ISO and ESO) registration solution with an approved set of standards relied upon by debit networks, card brands, sponsor banks and others in the ATM industry.
This will create a paradigm shift in the industry from a decentralized to centralized model with the ATMIA leading the charge as a value-added provider! Each debit network, card brand, sponsors bank and the registered entity will rely upon a single/centralized registration point replacing the decentralized, costly, inefficient and non-ubiquitous registration processes. All parties registered will be reviewed and approved using an approved/consolidated set of standards of which debit networks and card brands in concert with the sponsor banks will rely upon. The benefits are unlimited and invaluable to the payment value chain.
The benefits include:
· Centralized and automated registration point· Single set of due diligence standards· Automated registration status reporting· Level the playing field – apply the standard· Reduced cost (single registration fee and economies of scale)· Ongoing automated monitoring and reporting· Centralized and controlled data retention of sensitive information· “Watch lists”· Centralized education and training requisites/reporting
